Blind
Needle is a runaway roller-coaster of a novel, with a prologue that grabs
you by the throat and pulls you down into bleak but completely convincing
horror. The apparently straightforward thread of the plot expands like a spider's
web, and as the strands get stickier you find yourself trapped. There are
sane and calm moments but they are tiny interludes in a maelstrom of murder,
insanity, greed and cruelty. It's a political thriller, a novel of dark and
dangerous ideas, and worth 50 of your Ludlums and Archers. Unlike other blockbusters,
this book will bust your block..
